A membership club to support the fashion industry.

Enjoy an inside view of New York City’s fabled Garment Center. This behind-the-scenes experience for 10 Friends of Fashion members and non-members alike culminates with a personal meeting with one of the country’s top designers in his or her Garment Center headquarters. The group will enjoy a private trunk show as the designer discusses his or her latest collection, straight from the runways. We’ll celebrate the great outfits you’ll score with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Champagne. It’s a rare privilege allowed to Friends of Fashion members in thanks for our support of Save the Garment Center. As at all Friends of Fashion events, 10% of every purchase you make goes to help the fashion industry.

In addition, we’ll be welcomed into some factories to meet the people making the clothes we all love to wear. Our selection of factories varies, but you might see designs by Oscar de la Renta, Nicole Miller, and Calvin Klein come to life at one of the last remaining factories for decorative stitching (there used to be 400!), or fabric flowers being made by hand to adorn Ralph Lauren’s dresses. You can visit a workroom with its rows of sewers turning out Anna Sui’s or Nanette Lepore’s collection, or another factory where workers are sewing sequins on a Carolina Herrera gown.

Our Private Access: Garment Center Experience is available by appointment to members (complimentary) and non-members alike. Contact info@friendsoffashion.com or call 212-505-2157 to sign up for our next tour.
